Cyber World is a new monthly online magazine that seeks to bring closer together Industry and Academia for the advancement of the increasingly important field of cyber security.

We are always looking for interesting contributions from academics, students and industry experts who are keen to share their analyses, experience and opinions on some of the most pressing subjects in the world of Cyber security and related fields today.

We accept rolling submissions for publication on our website, and possible inclusion in our monthly online magazine, which is distributed to leading industry professionals, academics, policy experts and government stakeholders in the UK and beyond.

Submission Types: 

Opinion articles and short analyses: 500 – 1000 words

Analyses: 1000 – 3000 words

White Papers: 1500 – 3500 words

How to submit articles for consideration?

If you would like to submit an article for consideration for publication on either our website and/or in our monthly magazine Cyber World, please email the article in a Word document accompanied by a brief biography (60-100 words) as well as a high quality image of yourself to If you use any charts or graphs in your article, please also send these files separately as pictures (.jpg, .png etc) in high resolution. Please don’t use footnotes, endnotes or references. Instead, please supply hyperlinks (embedded links) for any references you use.

When you submit an article to us and it is accepted for publication on either our website and/or in our magazine, we reserve the right to make editorial changes (such as new headlines) before publication. Please be also aware that if your article is accepted for publication you grant us a royalty-free license (including for commercial purposes) to use the article on the Cyber World website and in other Cyber World products worldwide. 

As the amount of submitted articles has increased significantly, we ask for your understanding that we cannot provide individual feedback for rejected articles.

Full Editorial Policy

By submitting material to Cyber World, you warrant to us that any texts, photos, videos, audio material and any other content you submit (1) is your original work, (2) is submitted to Cyber World first and is not under consideration elsewhere, (3) does not infringe or violate any law, rule or regulation or the rights or intellectual property rights (including but not limited to copyright, trade marks, design rights, data base rights, whether registered or unregistered, or any similar rights recognised anywhere in the world) of any person (or encourage anyone else to do so), (4) is not objectionable, inaccurate or inflammatory, (5) is not obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, (6) is not an advertisement or solicitation of business or contributions, (7) complies with all applicable law and policy in the territory of publication, including without limitation the Bribery Act 2010 for UK publications.

You own your submissions, but we can still use them. You own the copyright in your content but by submitting any content to Cyber World, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence for the full period of copyright (as defined by English law) to exercise all rights under copyright with respect to such content, which Cyber World may use and exploit (along with your name and identifying features) on its website and other properties and those of our business partners, as well as for marketing and promotional purposes. This includes authorising the translation and publication of your content elsewhere. You waive all moral rights in the content you submit and/or agree never to assert them.
